This time, I was sent to Polomolok, South Cotabato and got to stay in this very nice hotel that you can only find here in Polomolok, I think.
AMCOOP Suites and Cafe 92
Before everything else, please do note that all of the expenses are paid for by my company and I have per diem for my other personal expenses.
Adventurers Multi-purpose Cooperative (AMCOOP) is now one of the most widely successful cooperatives in the country.
Since their establishment in December 1992 with only 300 members-workers, AMCOOP has grown exponentially in recent years generating jobs and livelihood opportunities in numerous localities in the Philippines. From their home in polomolok, South Cotabato, they now have operations and offices in Metro Manila, Iloilo City, Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro City, Davao City and General Santos City.
So basically, this is a cooperative-run hotel here in South Cotabato which is amazing in my opinion in ways that I will share with you later on in this blog.

The Hotel
AMCOOP Suites is definitely a good place to stay at here in Polomolok. They have 2 types of rooms, the deluxe and the premiere rooms which are in a 2 floor building.
Deluxe Twin Rooms have 2 single beds or a choice to have the queen size bed. The Premiere rooms can be either a queen size bed or twin setup with 2 single beds too with the difference of having a minibar and water kettle with complimentary coffee and tea.

All have a flat screen tv with cable channels. A small desk with chair and a desk lamp, great for doing work on your laptop or documents and whatnot. A bathroom with sink, toilet, bidet, hot/cold shower. An aircon and wifi access.
I had the deluxe room in my initial booking, however, since there were no available flights back to Manila over the weekend so I had to extend my stay but the room was already booked on the weekend and they had to transfer me to the Standard Twin Room.
I must say, even if it's a standard room, there is still a lot of space in it. It's like I just had 2 beds now hahaha.
The rooms are very modern designed and very clean too, its like those room in 3 or even 5 star hotels.
Which is a good thing. :)

Anyway.. I had to make do of what I have..
Lastly, you get free breakfast for the duration of your stay.
Amenities
They have a few amenities worth mentioning.
The guest lounge is very homey and inviting. They have different boardgames and other stuff to play with other guests or with your peers. Very spacious sofa and with pillows too for extra comfort. They also have reading materials like news papers and magazines.
A good place to hangout when you're bored in your room.
They also have this part of the room where you can put your laptop on and do some work.
I actually edited a couple of videos in this area. It has sockets on the walls so you don't have to worry about running out of batteries.
The wifi signal is stronger here too compared to if you're inside the rooms so I actually had to loiter a bit in this area to do some work done.
Parking is very ample as they have a wide space for your cars and motors and all are monitored by CCTV.

Cafe 92' and the food
At the lower ground floor of AMCOOP they have this annex which is where Cafe 92' is at. It is also owned and operated by AMCOOP which serves a variety of dishes that are very good tasting!
It is a bit expensive though. Price ranges from 100php to 420php.
But, I can tell you this, it is very delicious and actually have big servings. So if you wanna splurge a bit and indulge on good food, you may wanna try them out.
My suggestions:
- Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs (240php)
- Dora's Bolognese Pasta (180php)
- Carbonara (180php)
- Nachos (200php, super dami and generous ng toppings promise! Good for sharing)
- Brewed or Iced Coffee(MASARAP! Forgot the price ahha)
- Any of their ricebowls (150php) (I tried 2 out of 8 ata un, pero sulit kasi for 150php)
- Soy Garlic Chicken (forgot the price again) (it's super sarap din, laki pa ng chicken parts hehe)
One thing I have to say about Cafe 92' is that I hope they have at least 1 server available just waiting for customers to either order or ask them for anything. During my stay, oftentimes no one is around, so I can't ask for water or tissues, or extra orders. I have to stand up, leave my table and go to the lobby(it's just outside the cafe, but still, there should be someone manning the cafe for this).
Also, I hope they be more attentive to their customers in the cafe. Sometimes the staff just go pass by your table and not initiating to offer a refill of the coffee or water or something. I don't know. I think it's a standard elsewhere anyway.

Final Thoughts
My stay in this hotel is a better experience compared to the previous hotel I've been staying when I get deployed in South Cotabato(I've been there for the 8th time already I think). They have good rooms, comfy beds, BIDET! haha, and good ambiance and very thoughtful to have a lounge to hangout on and those working desks.
They do have to improve the wifi for the rooms, coz once you're inside, it's very slow and sometimes get disconnected.
And what I said above for the Cafe 92, they have great food and good ambiance. They just have to give better service.
